run like the lin
the best keith urban video ever. i love it so much =)
this has been a super busy week. *shakes head* stayed up pretty late for a few nights, some nights doing nothing but chatting with the soopid dentist (which is wicked fun XD ) and some nights just... doing nothing . hahahaha.
I CAN FINALLY RUN yay! still rmb a few weeks ago i was still walking around with a slight limp and i got so jealous when i saw some skinny nerdy looking boy chasing after a bus. have you ever wondered how much we take running for granted? have you ever wondered how grandpa and grandma feels about not being able to run EVER? how will it feel like to accept the fact that you can never ever stretch your legs out, feel the wind against your hair, to watch the world blur around you? we spend the best years of our lives sitting on a chair to study study study, then in a cubicle work work work, then to maybe our own desk where we once again, work work work,
and the next thing we know
the strength has left our legs, the pink has left our cheeks, we close our eyes to rmb having limbs that were tanned, smooth and pulsing with energy. we reminisce how it's like to stretch, flex, make karate chops.
SO, to all you younglings out there, the next time you run 2.4, tilt your head back, take deep breaths, let your arms hang out a little, feel the wind caress your hair, let your sleeves laugh in the wind. scream if you can. feel feet and ground connect. PUSH off. rmb, you won't be able to do it some years down the road.
"do you love being right?"
"yes..."
"since when my name became being right?"
hahahahaah. musings.
just came back from serangoon gardens not long ago with boofeng. Had chicken chop from Aston's and then went to chompchomp for chicken wings, and oyster egg HOHO. speaking of which, boofeng's HOHOHO laughter is fishing infectious. eh 2D this yearend chalet we'll all go HOHOHO see if mr quek gets it okay :D. i love chompchomp. it's the Sodom and Gomorrah for gluttons. when you're there, you just EAT more than you really want to. sinful.
to all you hamsters in the tagbox, *moons*
if you dont know what that meant, you're too young. wait a few years.

me, at it again
another day in the life of mister lin. thursday was pretty okay, been pretty tight with the kids nowadays cos mid-years coming and this is the time parents get abit more concerned and i need to step up my game a little more, make sure kids remember what they've learned and dish it all out in the exams.
on a lighter note, something retarded happened today. was going through one comprehension passage with the kids and as usual, i told everyone to take that passage out of their file by reading out the first few words of the passage, for the sake of easy identification.

So there, i said, "Ok take out the passage that says 8metre long python". Was a tad stern-sounding then, cos some of them gave pretty crappy answers and i had planned to speak to them individually about their answers. At the point in time, the atmosphere was rather solemn so i thought i might as well have some fun while putting up a hard front.
"Christopher, where's your 8m long python?"
"Here, teacher."
"Bring here. Let me see. "
It wasn't meant to sound like anything, but some alarm went off in my head. HEY that sounded pretty wrong. Of course i i didnt laugh out loud cos i was pretty upset about some of their answers but i swear some dark recess in my mind thats not under my control was chuckling away. So, mark mark mark, question question question, teach teach teach.
next student.
"Jaz, your 8m long python, how come no name and date written on it?"
"Forgot cher."
"Then? waiting for what, write it now."
Then, the defining reply of the night came.
"Isabelle, where's your 8m long python?"
"I can't find!"
"Have you checked everywhere?"
(stunned in her seat, looks DOWN frantically, in her bag, flips hurriedly through her file and screams)
"YES! its not here!"
