come next week, i might or might not get an asskicking from the parents of my P2 class. AHAH.
I was teaching singular and plural nouns to them at bedok on Friday, explaining and drawing on the board, then gave out the worksheets that I prepared for them.
So off they went, writewritewrite.
suddenly, one of the students, Crystal, rose her hand and squeaked, "Mr Lin, what is this word?". Nownow. First, i must tell you something about this girl. A fair, petite little convent girl with single eyelids and the reddest pouty lips, she would tilt her head to the right and put her finger on her chin whenever she looks up at me to ask a question. she's too cute.
"yes crystal? which word is it?" I replied.
"This one."
Printed there, clear as day, were the 3 letters "ASS". Good lord! what was i thinking when i typed out the worksheet??? damn assessments!
"Oh, this is pronounced as ASS. it is another name for donkey!"
aww COME ON i had to say its a donkey! i couldnt hold it in and had to walk out of the classroom, hide behind the door and laugh it out for a good minute! The kids were all pretty much O_O about what happened and I walked back into the classroom, face red and half smiling.
i decided to have some fun!
"Now class, Crystal just asked a question. Turn to page 2, see question 6? It is pronounced as ASS. say Ass."
"ASS!"
HAHAHA.
"Goooood. This is another name for donkey. The plural for ass is ASSES. Say Asses."
"ASSES!"
Mr Lin, Mr Lin. You're kanasai.
